Team Panda Raises a Record-Breaking $4 Million at Annual Charity Golf Invitational

ORGANIZATION: Children's Hospital Los Angeles, Methodist Hospital, City of Hope, Huntington Hospital and the Panda Cares Foundation, Boys & Girls Club of Coachella Valley

DATE:

One of Panda’s Core Values is Giving, and it is important to get everyone involved. We were thrilled to reunite with Panda’s business partners in-person for our 22nd Annual Golf Tournament, where we raised an astounding $4 Million to benefit local hospitals, the Panda Cares Foundation as well as the Boys & Girls Club (BGCA) music program.

Over 600 golfers, dinner guests and Panda volunteers were able to come together safely with all parties presenting proof of full vaccination. Guests were thrilled to get-together and give back and the high energy exuded throughout the day, as golfers donated through golf games and raffles coordinated by Panda volunteers. Stender Sweeney, Division Executive from Wells Fargo stated, “To be back at an event like this that makes such a difference in our communities, and to see all of the excitement around this group of people is just an amazing feeling.”

During the evening program, guests were surprised by a special performance by the Heatwave Showband, a music program through the Boys & Girls Club of Coachella Valley. Guests truly lived into the value of giving by generously supporting at our silent and live auctions, as well as our fund-a-need, helping us reach a new fundraising milestone!

“What inspired me most about this event is our associates who put together this event for our vendors & guests, to be able to contribute to our community by helping underserved children in education and health, and to let the children know they are our future.” – Peggy Cherng, Co-Chair and Co-CEO

A special thank-you to the golf tournament committee and volunteers from Panda’s Support Center and local Panda Express operators who make this event possible.
