Students in Boyle Heights, CA Receive a Special Holiday Surprise

Panda celebrated the holiday season by giving back to the students at Sunrise Elementary School in Boyle Heights, CA. Our Panda Support Center and local operations associates transformed the school into a winter wonderland, bringing excitement and festivities to the students.
Together with the school staff, Panda Cares collected student profiles that highlighted the students’ interests and personalities. These profiles were displayed at our Support Center along with a “Holiday Wish Tree” and ornaments that symbolized a student’s wish granted. Panda associates personally sponsored students by donating over 390 gifts!
On December 15th, the students were greeted with an unforgettable holiday celebration. Volunteers decked out the school halls with snowflakes, tinsel, holiday inflatables, and festive décor. To elevate the excitement, our Operations Support and IS departments sponsored game booths and prizes for the students to enjoy. Our fan favorite Panda mascot was greeted with excited screams and big smiles. The day ended merrily when each student was surprised with a memorable moment with Mr. and Mrs. Claus along with their personalized gift to take home.
