Lauderbach Elementary Students Receive the Gift of a Better Vision

In partnership with Vision to Learn, Panda hosted its first Vision to Learn x Panda Cares Event for students at Lauderbach Elementary School in Chula Vista, CA. 96 students received a brand-new pair of Warby Parker eyeglasses, three new Scholastic books, Panda branded pencil kits and bags as well as a hot Panda Express meal.
Our Chula Vista store operations team along with our prized Panda mascot volunteered their time to provide a memorable and exciting experience for children in their local community. The students were not only ecstatic to receive their stylish new eyeglasses but had a sense of relief in being able to see the world around them a little clearer.
Thanks to the Panda Cares Foundation’s support, Vision to Learn can provide vision screenings, eye exams and glasses to children in low-income communities at no cost to their families. The financial backing for this initiative is made possible through the generosity of our associates and guests via our in-store donation program.
