History:

Panda Cares is a community involvement program that was established by Panda Restaurant Group, Inc. (Panda Inn, Panda Express, and Hibachi-San) in 1999. Since its inception, Panda Cares has given millions of dollars of in-kind donations to numerous non-profit organizations, schools, and hospitals.

Panda Cares' purpose is to promote the spirit of giving and establish a caring presence in communities where Panda Restaurant Group's guests and associates live and work. As one of our Panda core values, Giving, states: We give our time and resources to support each other and our communities.

Mission:

Panda Cares brings hope to children in need. Our purpose is to promote the spirit of giving within Panda by directly serving the health and education needs of underserved children.

Our Goal/What We Do:

Panda Cares brings food, service, and smiles to organizations that share our mission of supporting underserved children's health and education.

HEALTH. We want every child to be able to run, jump, and play. And we know that without healthy bodies, children cannot live their lives to the fullest. Our donations go to benefit hospitals and organizations that provide patient care, illness prevention, and disability support for children.

EDUCATION. Panda Cares is committed to giving every child an opportunity to reach his or her fullest potential. We support organizations that educate children in the areas of at-risk prevention, academics, educational extracurricular activities, and restaurant-trade programs.

DIRECT SUPPORT. Panda Cares wants to share more than just resources. We want to share our lives. Our associates serve food on site directly to the underprivileged children that we support. We want to share hope and smiles face-to-face!
